1st Online University Bridge Cup

The draw has been made for the inaugural edition of the Online University Bridge Cup, a joint organization of FISU and the World Bridge Federation (WBF).

1. First Preparation Round to be scheduled in March 2009:

2. Next Program (if no changes in number of teams)

April 2009: Second Preparation Round (between winners of 6 matches)
May 2009: Semi-Finals (Winners of matches of winners from 1 versus2, 3 versus 4& 5 versus 6 of second preparation round and plus the best second)
June 2009: Finals

 

 3. Rules

1. All players are between 18 and 28 and fulfill the rules of FISU & WBF

2. The captain of the home team (in Bold) takes the initiative to contact the opponent to schedule in common agreement the match on BBO at the latest 5 days before the end of the concerned month. Now March 2009.They may choose the area on BBO and the dates in common agreement. The captain of the Home team (in Bold) informs Geert Magerman (geert.magerman@telenet.be) & KUBA (kubakasprzak@o2.pl) about the dates & the area on BBO before the match takes place. If there is any problem to find an area on BBO, please contact KUBA (kubakasprzak@o2.pl) who will help you to use the public club “University Bridge” room on BBO. You may also contact Fred Gittleman from BBO on this point.

2. TD of the match can be KUBA kubakasprzak@o2.pl. He will assist the match if available. If a TD is absolutely desired by both teams, a date& area must be chosen in common agreement with KUBA. If KUBA doesn’t assist the match, and there would be any discussion, both captains are requested to send a report to geert.magerman@telenet.be. A decision will be taken in common agreement with FISU & WBF, and if possible with Kees Tammens (Former World Champion)
