Events Endorsed by FISU in 2008
Regulations for FISU Endorsed Events ('FISU Patronage')
1. FISU will grant its endorsement to international university sports events presented by an NUSF, according to the general principles of FISU (Section A Art. 1.) of the current Regulations. These sports events will be organised in the spirit of the Regulations of FISU, however the NUSF will take all responsibility for its organisation. 2. Requests for this endorsement will be sent in written form to the General Secretariat of FISU, accompanied by a presentation dossier and will then be submitted to the Executive Committee of FISU. 3. Only the following may enter bids for endorsed events: a) a FISU member association b) if a non-affiliated member of FISU, a university sports organisation of a country affiliated to the appropriate ISF. 4. Endorsed events may be titled “International (or Continental) University (sport) Championship (or Cup)”. The designation “World University Championship (or Cup)” are strictly to be used for official FISU World championships (Section E Article 1.11)5. The sentence “With the endorsement of the International University Sports Federation - FISU”, as well as the offical FISU emblem must appear on all official publications and promotional items, and in the sports arenas, whilst respecting the general principles of FISU (Section A Art. 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12). 5. The Member Association shall invite a Member of the FISU Executive Committee to take part in the event. 6. After the event, the NUSF must present a report to FISU accompanied by official publications, results, photos, film, press clippings, a set of medals and merchandizing items.
